My Yesterdays

I lost my Mom on 10-11-2009 at 11.20 p.m. she was 78 years old she kicked cancers butt till she could no longer do that , she was my Mom , I'm totally at a loss for words right now she is in heaven , she was my Mom . I know later when I truly realize she is gone I will break and fall but for now , I don't think it's real.. she was my Mom. I think later I will post about everyone's trip we took for almost a month but for now I will just leave this post as it is.. She was my Mom.. I love you.

My Mom is going to get new shutters on her house , year before last she got a grant from the city which helped her put on new siding and a new roof , she also got new carpet , new refrigerator, stove. She also got new carpet and new flooring in the kitchen. She was so excited she actually was in the hospital at the time they said she had bladder cancer no and was undergoing some treatment at the time , she is cancer free now though. Oh and she also got new kitchen cabinets for her kitchen. Almost a new house we still have to get new carpet in the basement which we will be doing this year. So now I sat down with my Mom because she is wanting to change her decorative hardware for her new kitchen cupboards which did not come with the cabinets she so wants knobs and handles on them. Kind of like one of these My Mom also got a kick out of there shutters as she was looking for one's to accent the color of her house as its a soft green so she picked out the Napa Board and Batten Shutters with the arch top and the Pacifica as well. I can't wait to see what the house is going to look like , my Mom is not very internet savvy but it was easy enough for her to navigate the website. She also thought it was that it was very informative to have a blog that has all the informative information that helped her decide what she was looking for. Also while me and Mom was reviewing the Inviting Home website she ask about the Crown Molding they had and how beautifully it was designed with good quality workmanship , so she picked out this style of Crown Molding as she at this time don't have any in her bedroom and thought this simple but elegant design would be perfect as she has her bedroom painted walls and ceiling the same color and that this Crown Molding would separate the color scheme, here is a picture of the one she picked out below. She thinks it would add lots of style to her home, Inviting Home website has lots of flare and so many things to chose from , My Mom is still picking out different things from there site like wall hangings, mirrors, Home lighting. She said if you are looking for a place to go to fit all your home needs then Inviting home is the place to go.

I can't believe how cold it is its going to get at least 21 degrees below 0 tonight . Boy I bet my heating bill is going to be out of this world .. I have two of my grand babies tonight and want to make sure they are going to stay warm, the schools are closed due to the cold weather that we are having so I had them last night and all day today and when there mom called to come pick them up I just told her to leave them its to cold to take them out., besides that there dad is not feeling well and so far knock on wood the kids are doing ok it must be that flu that is going around ,, I have been spraying Lysol like crazy around here lol. I wish I was someplace warm and while surfing the Internet I came across some great travel deals located there, and boy would I love to be in anyplace but here right now the weather is just to cold to go out. The snow we have is up to my dogs chest she is a little schnauzer and actually can't get out in the yard to do her business so she had to go out in the street and do it lol.. poor baby we have so much snow its just crazy,. You would like that she would not stay out in this frigid weather but she insist but we make her come in after about 5 minutes. Well I'm off to get under a warm blanket in the front room and the kids are in the spare bedroom watching a movie.

I have to say that Christmas was fun. New years was crazy and we ended up having 4 of the 7 grandkids.  it was fun they was good but you must remember that we live in an upstairs apt and with four grand kids ages 9, 7,7,5 was a trip and at midnight they wanted to blow the horns that there parents brought .. well they could only do that for a few minutes and yes I let them even though the lady that lives downstairs is older and had to get up to go to work the next day .. well its part of New Year's noise and fun we had popcorn with treats in them and the kids just played with there DS and such.. around 1 am it was time to go to bed so we put the girls on the couch and the boys in the futon we have and all was quiet and went to sleep.. Well come morning we realized that we didnt have enough cereal and hardly no bread or milk grrrrr so we had to give them what we had and in the end , cereal , bread and Milk was all gone lol. but they was full .. we still had the kids at lunch and we had mac and cheese and whatever else we could find for them then the bliss there parents came and all went home around 2 in the afternoon.. ya know I dont mind having them but wish I had more food to feed them lol.. anyway that was my New Years and after all had gone we just kind of chilled and relaxed.. What a trip we told the girls that as of next year find another baby sitter we are going to spend the next one alone just the two of us with what ever we want to do snack out or whatever lol.. When we bought our flat screen tv we also bought a stand which is black with four shelves and let me tell you , you can see the dust on it very easy, we have planned on either getting another tv stands or putting the tv on a lower shelve , Me personally want to get another tv stand that is not black and has all the components stored below it so you don't see them. So after looking around in the stores and seen some on TV we also looked on the net and see ones in the link above they are so beautiful and just perfect for our small apartment . So we are still shopping but just might go with one of them. Wish us luck.

I want to thank Christy so much for having us over last night , the dinner was to die for and tasted so so good , It was a real Christmas feast. So thank you Christy and Mike for the great food and company. Was nice to get good food and some laughs at that movie we was watching.. the ice was so bad took me or took my son dragging me while holding on the car to get me across the driveway.. lol Later.

I want to get some new blinds for my place the ones that you cant see through, the bamboo shades that block out all the light and maybe it will help with my heating bill and the air in the summer. There is a big draft coming though my windows most of them don't have storm windows on them and they just havent replaced them , I rent an apartment and they are not into fixing the place up so we have to maintain it ourselves. In the winter the wind just blows through them and in the summer the sun shines directly in through them making it so hot in the front room. Well we will see how it goes in a few months as Christmas has just about drained us as with allot of people.

i cant wait till the kids get here they finally get to open there gifts from us , there daddy is excited to get to see them open there presents. I will take some pictures of them and put them up later.

I have this mole on my back that I made a appointment at the doctors to have a look at but that was a few months ago and I didn't have the money at the time to get it checked I know , but I don't have insurance and I didn't have the money so had to cancel and will have to reschedule for another day soon I hope as I'm still concerned about it , from what I have seen on this site I actually think it might be mesothelioma so I must get in and get it checked out. I did have it check a few years ago but the doc said not to worry about it but now its changing color to a darker shade , so I must save up some cash and go get it checked out this lady is a really nice doctor but the charges is 50 dollars and with me being laid off of work and only getting unemployment there never seems to be enough money to save.. But like I said for my piece of mind I must get it done.
