What it looks like after the Storm

I just have a short post .. and a few pictures .. this is what ones fridge looks like after no power for 4 days.
And Ones freezer
I know its sad . but we will survive we lost it all I just went yesterday and got a bag of ice , milk and butter and eggs.. and some bread thats the staples of life right .. lol
I do have to say that I’m happy that there was only one death and some small scrapes and bruises from the storm or the wind sear .
Electric we can get back , Homes and cars we can get back or fix but lives we can’t .. So I am very thankful for that..
Sad part of this whole thing is only those that have been through the minor thing we went thru will understand .. I know only a tiny bit of what the people of Katrina went through .. just a tiny bit ..
Because what we experience was that once the power went out 175,000 people were affected .. which means no power for the stores , Gas stations, no ice, so that means no food no gas ,,
I have had a couple of comments from some people on the other side of the river that didnt get hit.. all I heard was well why didnt you come over here to get food and ice.. well for one thing , it takes gas to get there and if you dont have the gas to get there you screwed.. so thats my story and im sticking to it.
I have my power and im happy now but it woke me up to what the people in Texas are going through and what happened with Katrina.. so its over and I have a new outlook on life. never take anything for granted.. and always be prepared.
Well im off to bed now take care of you..
